Raising the Bar in NCLEX Review Success!
The Books

Two review books by Dr. MJ,
one methodology.

NCLEX RN/LPN and PMHNP — the same teaching framework that produced a 99% pass rate at U.S. Nursing Review Center, now on your desk. Each book stands alone, or pairs with its matching live review course.

I didn't write these books to be comprehensive. I wrote them to be decisive — to cut through the noise and teach you exactly what each board actually tests, in the order you need to learn it.

The Lineup

Two books. Written by the same voice.

The NCLEX book is the foundation — used by first-time candidates, internationally-educated nurses, and RN refreshers. The PMHNP book is the U.S.-only advanced-certification companion.

Author & Founder
About the Author

Dr. Mary Jane Evangelista, RN, MSN

Dr. MJ has spent over eighteen years teaching nursing review in the Philippines and the United States. She founded U.S. Nursing Review Center in 2006 with a simple principle: measure what matters, and cut everything else. Her methodology — diagnostic assessment, structured review, full-length simulation, and exam-day recall — has produced a 99% pass rate across both branches.

Both books are the written form of her classroom. Every chapter reflects the teaching sequence she uses with live students. Every practice question has been field-tested by cohorts in Chicago and Makati. Nothing is academic filler — every page exists because it demonstrably helped a student pass.

Who They're For

Three candidate profiles

First-time NCLEX takers

Fresh nursing-school graduates preparing for their first NCLEX attempt. The NCLEX book serves as the core companion to a live review course, or as a full self-study text.

PMHNP candidates (U.S.)

Advanced-practice nurses preparing for ANCC or AANP PMHNP certification. The PMHNP book is a desk-side reference for DSM-5 reasoning, psychopharmacology, and exam-style practice items.

Yes. Both are written in Dr. MJ's teaching voice and use her decisive four-phase framework — diagnostic assessment, structured review, full-length simulation, and exam-day recall. The NCLEX book is scoped to RN/LPN licensure, the PMHNP book to the psychiatric advanced-practice exam.

Yes. The PMHNP credential is a U.S. advanced-practice certification, so the book is tuned to U.S. scope-of-practice, DSM-5, and the ANCC/AANP exam blueprints. We sell and ship it through the U.S. branch only.

U.S. orders typically arrive within 5–7 business days. Philippines orders (NCLEX book) arrive within 3–5 business days from Makati. International shipping is available on request — contact us for a quote.

Yes. Each book mirrors the exact teaching sequence used in its matching live review course — NCLEX for the NCLEX book, PMHNP for the PMHNP book. Students enrolled in a live course receive the matching book as part of their materials.

Absolutely. Each book is written to function as a complete self-study text. Many candidates who cannot travel to Chicago or Makati use the books as their primary review resource.

Yes — contact us for institutional pricing on 20+ copies. Many U.S. and PH nursing programs adopt Dr. MJ's NCLEX text as a recommended review resource, and several psychiatric NP programs use the PMHNP text.

If you're preparing for NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN, start with the NCLEX book. If you're an RN pursuing PMHNP certification in the U.S., start with the PMHNP book. If you're doing both (moving from NCLEX to PMHNP), most candidates order the NCLEX book first and add PMHNP when they begin advanced-practice school.

Want Dr. MJ to teach you live?

The books are the written form of Dr. MJ's classroom. The classroom is where she calibrates your thinking, answers your actual questions, and walks you through the cases that trip up most test-takers. If you're preparing for NCLEX or PMHNP, consider pairing your book with a live review course.
